Pet to human AI prompts: what your dog or cat would look like as a person

Short answerUpload a clear photo of your pet and ask the AI to turn it into a human, removing fur, ears and whiskers but keeping its personality, colours and pose. Give the age and the vibe (lazy, bossy, sporty) so the person matches the pet you know.

"What would my dog look like as a human?" is one of the most shared AI photo trends of 2026. Analytics Insight lists pet-to-human transformations among the biggest ChatGPT photo trends of the year, alongside chibi figures and roast-me caricatures. Upworthy called it "adorably addictive".

The results can be very funny: the lazy Labrador becomes a sleepy man in a hoodie, the bossy cat becomes a sharp woman in a blazer. They can also be creepy when the AI leaves the fur and ears half on. The prompts below keep the good part and remove the creepy part.

Fixing common problems

Ears or fur are still there. Move "Remove all animal features" to the first line and list them. The AI follows a list better than a general instruction.

The human looks generic. Your photo is too dark or the pet is small in the frame. Crop so the pet fills most of the picture.

Wrong gender or age. Say it directly. The AI guesses otherwise, and guesses differently each time.

It looks cartoonish. Add "realistic photograph, 50mm lens, natural skin".
