Onam portrait prompt for Gemini & ChatGPT

This prompt turns your photo into an Onam portrait: a cream and gold kasavu saree, or a mundu with angavastram, in a courtyard with a colourful pookalam flower carpet, a brass lamp and a banana leaf feast behind. It tells the AI to keep your face and features exactly the same.

What you will get

Your face in an Onam portrait: the kasavu saree or mundu you chose, a pookalam flower carpet in a courtyard, a brass lamp and a banana leaf feast behind you, in warm morning light with a joyful mood.

Common mistake

The saree comes out in a bright colour, or the gold border is in the wrong place.

Fix: Describe it exactly: “off-white cotton saree with a plain gold kasavu border along the edges”. Colour words matter more than the word kasavu alone.

Also watch for

The pookalam looks like a random pile of petals. Say “a round flower carpet in neat concentric rings of yellow, orange and white flowers, seen from a slight angle”.
The banana leaf feast appears in front of you and covers the outfit. Add “the feast is a small blurred detail in the background, never in front of me”.

Try a variation: Vishu setting

Use the card tip to swap festivals: “a brass lamp, golden cassia flowers, a mirror and fruit arranged on a tray in the background”. Say your face stays unchanged.
