Dhanteras 2026 AI prompts: greetings, jewellery shop posters and festive photos

Short answerDhanteras falls on Friday, 6 November 2026, two days before Diwali. Use AI for a warm WhatsApp greeting, a clean offer poster for your shop, and product photos of jewellery or utensils. Leave the words out of the picture and add them yourself so nothing is misspelled.

Dhanteras opens the five days of Diwali. In 2026 it falls on Friday, 6 November, with Lakshmi Puja on 8 November, according to Aaj Tak's Diwali calendar. It's the day families buy gold, silver, utensils or something new for the home, and the busiest sales day of the year for many jewellers and shops.

That makes it a big day for pictures: greetings for family, offer posters for shops, and product photos for Instagram. Here are prompts for each. Check your local calendar for the puja muhurat, as timings differ by city.

1. A WhatsApp greeting

Add "Happy Dhanteras" and your family's name yourself with any photo editor. AI still misspells Hindi and English words on festival cards, and a spelling mistake on a greeting is the one thing everyone notices.

2. A jewellery shop offer poster

Put the offer, prices and shop name in yourself. Prices in AI pictures are often wrong, and a wrong price on a poster is a real problem.

3. Product photos for Instagram

Jewellery sells on detail. Use the jewellery macro prompt with your own product photo:

"Keep the design exactly the same" is essential. Without it, AI "improves" the piece, and customers get something different from the picture. For full sets, try the ethnic jewellery set prompt.

Utensil and home shops can use the same prompt with steel, brass or copper items. Say "polished brass", "brushed steel" or "hammered copper" so the metal looks right.

4. A festive portrait

To post a family photo from the day:

Keep everyone's faces exactly the same. Make this a warm festive family portrait for Dhanteras: traditional clothes, standing at our decorated entrance with a small rangoli and diyas, soft evening light. Natural photography, real skin texture. No text.

5. A short video wish

Tips for shops

Post two or three days before. People plan Dhanteras purchases in advance.
Show the real product. Use your own photos as the base. Don't show jewellery you don't sell.
Keep offer text short. "Making charges 20% off" is easier to read than a paragraph.
