Dhanteras 2026: date and what to write

Dhanteras 2026 is on Friday 6 November 2026, the first day of the Diwali festival. Families buy gold, silver or a new utensil, light a diya and pray to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera, and to Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health. Puja and purchase timings vary by city, so check a local panchang.
