Chhath Puja 2026: date and what to write

Chhath Puja 2026 centres on Sunday 15 November 2026, the evening offering to the setting sun (Sandhya Arghya), within a four-day observance running from about 13 to 16 November. It is dedicated to Surya, the sun god, and Chhathi Maiya, and is celebrated most widely in Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh and the Terai region of Nepal. A few calendars shift the dates by a day, so check yours.
