AI couple photo prompts: romantic portraits that still look like you both

Short answerUpload one clear photo of you together, tell the AI to keep both faces exactly the same, say who stands where and who holds what, then describe one setting and one light. Couples go wrong when the prompt leaves positions to the AI.

Couple photos are one of the most searched AI photo ideas in India, and the season makes it busier: Karwa Chauth, Diwali, anniversaries and the wedding season are all coming up. The difference from a solo portrait is that the AI now has to keep two faces right, and it has to decide who stands where. Leave that to chance and you'll get swapped features or strange hands.

Start with the right photo

One photo of you both together works better than two separate photos, because the AI can see how you look next to each other.
Both faces clear, front-facing or at a slight angle, in daylight.
No sunglasses or heavy filters.

If you only have separate photos, upload both and say "the first photo is her, the second is him" (or whatever fits).

The pose line is the one people skip, and it causes most problems. Name who is in front, where the hands are, and where each person looks.

Popular styles

Pre-wedding look. For a cinematic, planned-shoot feel, use the pre-wedding couple scene prompt. Name a real kind of place: "a haveli courtyard in Jaipur", "tea gardens in Munnar", "a beach in Goa at sunrise".

Travel postcard. Put the two of you in front of a place you visited or want to visit with the couple travel postcard prompt. Say "no readable text" and add the place name yourself.

Retro 80s. The 80s couple prompt gives you a warm, film-camera look with period clothes and a date stamp. It's one of the most shared couple trends right now.

Make it move

A still photo is great for a post. For a Reel, take it into a video tool with the couple walk prompt: a slow walk, holding hands, camera following. Keep clips to 5 seconds. Faces can drift in longer videos.

Ask first

Only use photos of your partner with their agreement, especially before posting publicly. And don't use AI to make couple photos of other people, such as an ex, a friend or a celebrity, without their consent. It can cause real harm, and in many places it breaks the law.
