T-shirt graphic for print

This prompt makes a print-ready t-shirt graphic: a subject such as a retro tiger head with your slogan in a style like vintage screen-print, limited to a maximum of four flat colours so it is easier to print.

What you will get

A bold, centred t-shirt graphic of your subject with the slogan in your chosen style, up to four flat colours, thick outlines and a distressed texture, on a plain white background with no mockup.

Why it works

Print shops price by colour, so the prompt caps the palette and asks for flat colour with thick outlines, which also reads well from across a room. Isolating the graphic on white and banning mockups gives you a usable file instead of a picture of a shirt. The distressed texture adds a vintage feel without needing more colours.

Common mistake

The slogan is misspelled.

Fix: Keep it short and in quotes. Ideogram tends to handle text best, but check every letter before printing.

Also watch for

There are more colours than four. Name the four colours, such as “black, cream, orange and teal”, to keep screen-print costs down, as the tip says.
The result is a photo of a shirt. Keep “no mockup” and “isolated on plain white” in the prompt. You want the art, not a product photo.

Try a variation: back print

Ask for a smaller matching design for the chest pocket, using the same subject simplified to one colour.

Still not right? Add this and run it again

exactly four flat colours, no gradients, the slogan in bold letters spelled exactly as in quotes, clean edges ready for screen printing
