Turn meeting notes into minutes
This prompt acts as an executive assistant. You paste your raw notes with the meeting name, date and attendees, and it returns a three-line summary, the decisions made and action items in a table.
Act as an executive assistant. Turn my rough meeting notes into clear minutes. Meeting: [MEETING NAME] on [DATE] Attendees: [NAMES] Raw notes: [PASTE NOTES] Output: 1) a 3-line summary, 2) decisions made, 3) action items as a table (task, owner, deadline), 4) open questions. If an owner or deadline is missing from my notes, write "TBC" instead of guessing.
Paste messy notes as they are. The "TBC" rule stops the AI from inventing owners.
Get a better result
Clean minutes from rough notes: a 3-line summary, the decisions, an action table with task, owner and deadline, and a list of open questions, with TBC wherever your notes leave a gap.
An owner is guessed from whoever spoke most.
Fix: Keep the TBC rule in the prompt and check the action table against the attendee list. Correct any wrong name before sending.
- Opinions and decisions are mixed together. Add “list as a decision only what the notes say was agreed; everything else goes under open questions”.
- Deadlines are written as “next week” or “Friday”. Give the meeting date and say “write deadlines as full dates”, so the minutes still make sense a month later.
Add “then write a three-line email to the client that confirms the decisions and the next steps”. Read it before sending, because it only knows what your notes say.
Make it shorter and more specific to my situation. If you need more detail, ask me up to 3 questions first.
