Improve any AI prompt before you send it
This prompt acts as a prompt engineer. Paste your prompt, the result you want and the AI tool you use, and it improves the prompt. It is a good first step whenever a result disappoints you.
Act as a prompt engineer. Improve my prompt. My prompt: [PASTE YOUR PROMPT] What I want as the result: [OUTCOME] The AI tool I am using: [CHATGPT / GEMINI / CLAUDE] First, list what is missing (role, context, format, length, examples, constraints). Ask me up to 3 questions you need answered. Then rewrite my prompt with [BLANKS] I can fill in, and explain each change in one line.
Save your best rewritten prompts. You will reuse them more than you expect.
Get a better result
A short list of what your prompt is missing, up to three questions for you, then a rewritten prompt with fill-in blanks and a one-line reason for every change.
You paste the prompt but leave the desired result blank.
Fix: Describe the outcome in a sentence, for example “a 5-slide outline for my manager”. Without it the rewrite can only guess your goal.
- You skip the three questions and accept the first rewrite. Answer them, even briefly. The questions are what make the rewrite specific to you.
- The new prompt is longer but not better. Ask “remove anything that does not change the result, and keep it under 120 words”.
Ask for “two rewrites, one short and one detailed”, run both on your tool and keep the one that gives the better answer. Save it as your template.
Rewrite the prompt again, but keep only the parts that change the answer. Mark the fields I must fill in with [BLANKS].
