What you will get

A warm bakery ad: a baker frosts a tall cake, adds berries and gold leaf, a slow slice reveals the layers, and a family sings as candles glow, with joyful music and warm light.

Common mistake

The cake changes from shot to shot.

Fix: Name the flavour, colours and decoration once and repeat the same words. Add “the same cake in every shot”.

Also watch for

The slice shows a messy or hollow inside. Describe the layers: “clean sponge layers with cream and berries between each, a sharp knife, slow and steady”. The tip says the slicing shot is the highlight.
The family’s faces warp while they sing. Keep that scene short and wide, with soft focus on the candles: “a family seen from behind and the side, faces lit by candlelight”.

Try a variation: festive version

Change the cake to “a plum cake with white icing and holly” and the setting to “a Christmas table with fairy lights”. Keep the slicing shot.
