Ask customers for a review or testimonial
This prompt writes a short message asking a happy customer for a review. You give your business, the customer, what they bought and where to review, such as Google or your site.
Write a message asking a happy customer for a review.
Business: [NAME AND TYPE]
Customer: [NAME AND WHAT THEY BOUGHT]
Where to review: [GOOGLE / SITE LINK]
Make it short, friendly and easy: give 3 simple prompts they can answer in one line each ("What problem did we solve?"). Give an email version and a WhatsApp version. Never offer money for a positive review.
Ask right after a good moment, such as delivery or a compliment.
Get a better result
A short, friendly review request in two versions, email and WhatsApp, with three one-line questions the customer can answer in seconds and a direct link to where the review goes.
The message reads like a mass mailing.
Fix: Fill in the customer’s name and what they actually bought, and mention one detail from the order. A personal line gets far more replies.
- The AI suggests a discount or gift for a positive review. Keep the “never offer money for a positive review” rule. Review sites can remove reviews that were paid for, and it is unfair to other customers.
- It asks for too much, so people never finish. Keep the three questions to one line each. Ask “what problem did we solve?” first, because that answer makes the most useful review.
Ask for “a version that invites them to send a 20-second phone video answering one question, with a simple tip for good light and sound”.
Shorten the WhatsApp version to three lines and keep the review link on its own line at the end.
