Answer "Tell me about yourself"
This prompt writes a 60-second answer to the common interview opener for the role and company you name. It uses three parts: what you do now, relevant past experience and why this role. Practise it aloud.
Help me answer "Tell me about yourself" for a [JOB TITLE] interview at [COMPANY]. My background: [SHORT BIO] Key strengths: [LIST] Why this role: [REASON] Write a 60-second answer in three parts: present (what I do now), past (relevant highlights), future (why this role). Keep it conversational, not memorised-sounding. Give me a shorter 30-second version too.
Do not recite your whole CV. Pick 2 or 3 things that match the job.

Two answers you can say aloud: a 60-second version in three parts (what you do now, your relevant past, why this role) and a shorter 30-second one, in a natural speaking style.
The answer walks through your whole career in order.
Fix: Put only two or three strengths the job advert asks for into the strengths box, and keep the rest of your history out of the bio.
- It sounds like a speech, with long sentences you would never say. Read it aloud once. Reply “shorter sentences, the way I would say them to a friend” and cut any line you stumble over.
- The “why this role” part is general praise for the company. Give one real reason, such as a product you use or a project the team shipped. Named details stop the answer sounding copied.
If you are moving fields, add “I am moving from retail into marketing. Start with what carries over, then explain the move in one sentence.” The answer then leads with strengths instead of the gap.
Make it sound more like me. Use shorter sentences, drop any phrase I would not say out loud, and keep only the two strengths that matter most for this job.
