Learn English words through a story
This prompt writes a short story at a CEFR level, such as B1, that uses your list of words naturally, then lists each word with a simple definition.
Write a short story at [CEFR LEVEL, e.g. B1] English level that uses these words naturally: [WORD LIST] The story should be about [TOPIC], around [WORDS] words. After it, list each word with a simple definition and an extra example sentence, and ask me five comprehension questions.
Read the story aloud twice and then retell it in your own words.

A short story at your chosen level that uses your word list naturally, followed by each word with a simple meaning, an extra example sentence and five comprehension questions.
New words stick better inside a story, so the prompt weaves your word list into a tale at your level. Definitions and extra examples come after. Five comprehension questions check understanding, and retelling it aloud, as the tip says, builds speaking.
The story is too hard for the level.
Fix: Repeat the level and ask for common words only, apart from your list. Easier text teaches better.
- A word is used in the wrong sense. Check each word in a learner’s dictionary and ask the AI to fix any meaning that is not the one you wanted.
- The list is too long. Use eight to ten words. A longer list makes the story feel forced and hard to remember.
Ask for the same words used in a conversation between two people, so you can practise reading it aloud as a pair.
Here is my retelling of the story without looking: [MY RETELLING]. Point out the target words I missed or used wrongly.
