What you will get

An illustrated 1950s travel poster with you in the scene, bold flat colour shapes, a landmark behind, retro lettering inviting people to visit your destination, and a grainy paper texture.

Why it works

Mid-century travel posters used bold flat colour shapes and simple lettering, and the prompt asks for that style instead of a photo. Turning you into an illustration is why it says “keep my face recognisable” rather than exactly the same: the style changes, the likeness should not. The destination blank sets both the landmark and the lettering. A grainy paper texture makes it look printed, and keeping the text short, as the tip says, avoids garbled letters.

Common mistake

The lettering is garbled.

Fix: Keep the text short, as the tip says, and add the real destination name in an editor.

Also watch for

It looks like a photo, not an illustration. Ask for “flat shapes, limited palette, no gradients, gouache-style print”.
The landmark is wrong. Name the exact landmark in the bracket, and check the shape against a real picture.

Try a variation: make a series

Create three posters for three destinations with the same style, size and lettering, to hang as a matching set. Keep the same pose and colour count in each, and change only the landmark, the background colours and the place name at the bottom.

Still not right? Reply with this

Keep the style. Reduce the palette to four colours and make the lettering bigger at the bottom.
