What you will get

An underwater side view of a swimmer in a clear pool lane doing your chosen stroke, with streams of bubbles, sunlight rippling on the floor lines and a smooth tracking camera at their pace, with muffled water sounds.

Why it works

Underwater swimming footage shows what you cannot see from the pool deck: the full stroke, the bubbles and the body line. The prompt keeps the camera at the swimmer’s side and pace, so the movement stays readable. Sunlight rippling on the floor lines and muffled water sounds make it feel real, and naming the stroke matters because each one moves completely differently.

Common mistake

The stroke looks wrong or mixes styles.

Fix: As the tip says, name it. Freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke look very different underwater.

Also watch for
  • The swimmer floats without moving forward. Ask for the camera tracking at the swimmer’s speed with the lane lines sliding past below.
  • There are no bubbles from the breath. Ask for bubbles from the nose and mouth on each breath and streams from the hands.
Try a variation: dive start

Start with a dive from the block, the body entering cleanly and gliding under the water before the first stroke.

Still not right? Add this and run it again

the camera tracking at the swimmer’s speed with lane lines sliding past below, bubbles from the nose on each breath, freestyle with a high elbow
