A wide night shot of hundreds of glowing paper lanterns rising into a deep blue sky above a calm river, crowds in silhouette, reflections on the water, with the camera slowly craning up to reveal the whole scene.
The lanterns all rise in one straight line like a fountain.
Fix: Say “lanterns drift at different heights and speeds, some near, some far”. Irregular movement looks natural.
- The crowd turns into a mass of black shapes. Add “small silhouettes with a few lit faces near the edge of the frame, no close-ups”. Keep faces tiny.
- The reflection on the river is missing. Make it a main subject: “each lantern reflected in the still water as a soft golden streak”.
Replace the lanterns with “hundreds of paper kites in a bright morning sky over a rooftop city”, and drop the river and the glow. The same wide shot, for a different festival.
single smooth crane-up shot, lanterns at different heights, clear reflections on the water, no cuts
