30-day plan to learn a language
This prompt creates a 30-day plan for learning a language from your level, with daily activities.
Create a 30-day plan for learning [LANGUAGE] from [BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE] level. Time per day: [MINUTES] Goal: [E.G. TRAVEL, WORK, CONVERSATION] Learning style: [STYLE] Break it into four weekly themes, with daily tasks covering vocabulary, listening, speaking and one small real-life challenge. Include the 100 most useful words to start with and a weekly self-test.
Speak out loud from day one, even badly; speaking speeds up learning more than reading.
Get a better result
A four-week plan with a theme for each week, a short daily list of vocabulary, listening and speaking tasks that fits your minutes, a starter list of 100 words, a small real-world challenge per week and a self-test every seventh day.
The daily tasks take twice the time you gave.
Fix: Ask for a minute count beside every task and a total for the day that must not go over your number. Cut the plan, not your sleep.
- The 100 words are textbook words you will never say. Tie the list to your goal, for example “words a traveller needs in a café, a station and a pharmacy”, and ask it to drop anything formal.
- Week four is no harder than week one. Ask for a clear step up each week, such as reading a menu in week one and holding a three-minute chat in week four.
Set the time to 15 minutes and ask for one task per day only, with a single speaking line to say out loud before bed.
Here are my self-test results for this week: [RESULTS]. Rewrite next week’s plan around the words and skills I missed.
