Penguins are charming because they look clumsy on land and graceful in water. The prompt focuses on the land side: waddling, belly sliding and huddled chicks. A low camera near the ice puts the viewer at penguin height, and clear cold light with an iceberg in the distance sets the Antarctic scene. Close-ups of waddling, as the tip says, add the humour.
The penguins look the same as cartoon penguins.
Fix: Name the species and its colours, such as “emperor penguins with yellow-orange neck patches”.
- The belly slide looks like they are swimming. Ask for a penguin dropping onto its belly and pushing with its feet across the ice, flippers out.
- The chicks are missing or too big. Ask for small, fluffy grey chicks huddled near the adults.
Make a second clip of the penguins hopping off the ice edge into the water one after another.
