Butterfly emerging from a chrysalis
This prompt shows a butterfly, such as a monarch, emerging from its chrysalis in a close time-lapse.
Close time-lapse of a [BUTTERFLY, e.g. monarch] butterfly emerging from its chrysalis: the shell splits, wet crumpled wings slowly unfold and pump with fluid, colour appears as they dry, the butterfly clings to a twig then flutters off into golden light, macro camera, delicate and hopeful mood.
Great for stories about growth and change.

A delicate macro time-lapse of a butterfly leaving its chrysalis, with the shell splitting, wet wings unfolding and drying, colour appearing and the butterfly fluttering into golden light.
Emergence is a slow process, so the prompt describes its stages in order: the shell splits, wings unfold and pump with fluid, colour appears as they dry, then the first flight. A time-lapse fits hours into seconds. Macro framing and golden light make it delicate, and the species blank sets the wing colours.
The wings appear fully formed at once.
Fix: Ask for slow unfolding, with crumpled wet wings that pump up and then dry, as the prompt describes.
- The butterfly looks unnatural. Name one species and check its markings, such as orange and black for a monarch.
- The background is distracting. Say “soft green blur, nothing else”, so the shot stays on the insect.
Ask for three connected shots: a caterpillar on a leaf, the chrysalis hanging, and the butterfly emerging at dawn.
slow and accurate stages: the shell splitting, the wings hanging and pumping, then drying flat
