Map the arguments on both sides of an issue
This prompt maps the main arguments for and against a question or claim and shows the strongest points on each side.
Map the main arguments on the question: "[QUESTION OR CLAIM]". Show the strongest case for each side, the key assumptions behind each, the evidence that would change each side's mind, and where the disagreement is really about values rather than facts. Use neutral language and do not tell me what to think.
Ask the AI which claim each side would find hardest to answer; it reveals the real crux.

A neutral map of both sides of a question, with the strongest case and key assumptions for each, the evidence that would change their minds, and where the disagreement is really about values.
One side gets a weaker case.
Fix: Ask it to present each side as its best supporters would, and check both against sources you trust.
- The question is too broad. Narrow it to one clear claim, such as a specific policy, not a whole topic.
- You take the map as settled fact. Look up the key evidence yourself. The AI may be out of date or miss sources.
Ask for three questions each side would ask the other, and a short answer to each, for a class debate or discussion.
Which claim would each side find hardest to answer? Explain why, and say whether that is the real crux of the disagreement.
