Warm floodlights and a purple sky make a dramatic silhouette.

Get a better result

What you will get

A tall ornate South Indian temple gopuram lit warmly at dusk, with colourful carved figures, a purple and orange sky, a reflective temple tank and silhouetted devotees, in respectful architectural style.

Common mistake

The carved figures look blurred or melted.

Fix: Ask for “tiered carved figures in clear rows”, and use a slightly wider view so the detail does not need to be sharp.

Also watch for

The temple looks like a mix of regional styles. Name the region or a style in plain words, and treat the result as an artistic picture. Check it with someone who knows the temples.
The sky is too flat. Say “a gradient from deep purple at the top to orange at the horizon, with a few thin clouds”, and mirror it in the water.

Try a variation: try a festival night

Add “rows of small oil lamps along the tank steps and a soft glow on the water”. It suits a festival greeting. Keep the scene respectful.

Still not right? Add this and run it again

Keep the gopuram and the dusk. Make the floodlights warmer, the water calmer and the devotees smaller and more distant.
