What you will get

A warm open mic poster with a lone microphone on a stool under a spotlight, a brick wall, string lights, retro type saying “Open Mic Night”, your day, time, venue and sign-up details, in amber and deep purple.

Why it works

A single microphone in a spotlight says “your turn on stage” without words. The brick wall and string lights set a small, cosy venue, which makes the event feel welcoming to first timers. Amber and purple are warm and moody at once, and the retro type keeps it friendly rather than corporate.

Common mistake

The small details text is unreadable.

Fix: Keep the date and venue short, or leave them out and add them in a design tool so they are crisp.

Also watch for

The microphone looks like a karaoke toy. Ask for a classic vintage stage microphone on a metal stand, lit from above.
The poster is too dark to see on a wall. Ask for a brighter spotlight and keep the title in a light colour against the purple.

Try a variation: make an Instagram post

Ask for a square version with the title and date only, and put the full details in the caption.

Still not right? Reply with this

Keep the poster but make the title larger and lighter, brighten the spotlight, and leave a clear square at the bottom for a QR code.
