What you will get

A calm landscape photo of morning backwaters, with a traditional houseboat on green water, coconut palms on the banks, mist, a fisherman in a canoe and gentle sunrise reflections.

Why it works

Early morning is when backwaters are stillest, so the prompt uses mist, calm green water and soft sunrise light to set a quiet mood. A houseboat and a fisherman in a canoe give two scales of boat and a sense of daily life. The place blank lets you swap in any waterway you love for local wall art.

Common mistake

The houseboat looks like a modern yacht.

Fix: Ask for a curved wooden hull with a woven bamboo roof, the traditional kettuvallam look.

Also watch for

The water is blue like the sea. Ask for still, green-brown water with palm reflections.
The canoe and fisherman are blurred blobs. Place the canoe in the foreground, small but clear, with the fisherman standing.

Try a variation: make it monsoon

Ask for rain falling on the water, grey skies, and vivid green palms after rain.
